THE CHATSWOOD & MACQUARIE PARK FULL DAY TOUR IS NOW FULL.
How has Sydney’s North Shore integrated mixed-use residential and commercial areas to maximise access to public transport? Join us to explore Chatswood and the Macquarie Park Corridor – two exemplary examples of transit orientated development.
Chatswood is a diverse blend of offices, regional shopping centres, parks, residential apartments, health facilities, and the cultural and artistic hub of the region with performance, exhibition and library space in its heart at the Concourse. See how all of this is serviced by the new transport interchange and hear about the new strategy which will ensure Chatswood capitalises on the heightened connectivity with Metro Rail.
Macquarie Park Corridor is set on over 200 hectares and houses Sydney’s 2nd largest business district of over 850 sqm of commercial land use (and the capacity to reach over 2 million sqm), 98 ha occupied by Macquarie University (40,000+ students and 2,000 staff), Macquarie Shopping Centre, restaurants, hotels, serviced apartments, a hospital and residential communities. This is supported by a technological and multi modal transport hub – set to become the 4th largest CBD behind Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this precinct is not to be missed.
This tour will be a mixture of travel on train and walking. At this stage it is anticipated there will be approximately 4km walking in Chatswood and Macquarie Park Corridor.
