THE BARANGAROO WALKING TOUR IS NOW FULL
Join us for a walking tour that will take you across the city to some of Sydney’s award winning and key projects in the CBD.
This will include a forgotten transport corridor that has transformed into an inclusive, connected place that respects and presents its history is considered particularly remarkable. The ability of the Goods Line to create a people focused address to the nearby cultural, educational and media institutions is one of its strongest attributes.
The tour will also visit a successful public place, Central Park which has become a vibrant, inner city, mixed use precinct. The Master Plan has delivered a permeable, well connected and highly activated place with the old and new architecture and public art contributing to an attractive sense of place for residents and visitors.
Self-proclaimed as one of the most ambitious urban renewal projects in the world today, Barangaroo is a waterfront renewal project over 22 hectares in size. The $6+ billion precinct, once complete, will provide space for over 24,000 permanent jobs, generate approximately $2 billion per annum to the NSW economy and provide over 11 hectares of newly accessible public domain. This tour will use Wynyard Walk as an access point to investigate Barangaroo and its connection with the broader CBD.
